Konya’s central Karatay District Municipality hosted the 2-day Board of Directors Meeting of the United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Regional Organization (UCLG-MEWA). At the meeting, high-level sessions focused on culture and environment were held with the theme “Harmony in Action, Impact at Local”.

Speech of Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca
Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca gave detailed information about the services, investments and projects aimed at protecting the cultural heritage of the district at the meeting. Mayor Kılca emphasized that they successfully implemented modern urbanization in the district while preserving traditional structures.
