Brazilian street artist living in Dublin Joao Adnetdraws attention with his Palestine-themed works. The artist’s works, which depict the difficulties faced by the Palestinian people, bring the streets to life. Using spray paint, Adnet creates works with strong messages calling for peace and justice in various parts of Dublin.

Frequently featured in the artist’s works Palestinian flag, innocent child figures and images bearing the scars of war aim to raise social awareness. With these works, Adnet reveals the cruelty and oppression that the Palestinian people are subjected to. In his statement to the Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter, Adnet said, “I am a Brazilian street artist who has been living in Dublin for about 10 years. Approximately for 18 yearsI make an effort to show people the truth by making graffiti. “I use my art as a tool to draw attention to some mistakes happening in the world and to correct these mistakes,” he said.

Evaluating the events in Palestine, Adnet emphasized that the war did not actually start in October, and that the Palestinian people had suffered under the pressure of Israel and other countries long before. Stating that he was deeply saddened by the tragic events, the artist stated that he was trying to do his best to change this situation with his art.

Adnet said, “Even though I am a Brazilian living in Ireland, I feel this situation as a duty and a humanitarian feeling. It does not matter where you come from; the important thing is to sincerely feel what you need to do to stop the war.” he said
