Investigations in the Fire Zone
11 of our citizens lost their lives in the fire that occurred in Diyarbakır and Mardin. While the inspection and damage assessment studies continued, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Münir Karaloğlu made inspections in Köksalan District in the Fire Zone. Karaloğlu, who attended the funeral, shared the details of the intervention.
Emergency Aid Allowances
AFAD Presidency sent emergency aid funds of 3 million TL to Diyarbakır Governorship and 2 million TL to Mardin Governorship. This aid was sent to cover the damages in the fire area and meet the needs of the citizens.
Details about the fire:
- Of the citizens who lost their lives, 8 were registered in Mardin and 3 were registered in Diyarbakır.
- 556 small cattle perished and 250 injured animals were sent to slaughter.
- 8,100 decares of land in Diyarbakır and 7,000 decares of land in Mardin were damaged in the fire.
- A total of 180 vehicles and 1,080 personnel responded to the incident.
