In the sad incident that took place in Gündüz Neighborhood of Karaçoban district of Erzurum, one person lost his life and another person was injured as a result of the hostility that broke out due to a land dispute.
The incident took place when FY (46/M) and Ş.EY (18/F) were injured with a firearm by MSY (59/M) and Ö.Y. (23/M), with whom they had a feud due to a land dispute, while they were in the garden of their residence.
In the statement made by Erzurum Governorship, it was stated that the incident was intervened, the injured were transferred to Karaçoban State Hospital, and that FY died in the hospital and Ş.EY’s life was not in danger and he was transferred to Erzurum City Hospital. .
It was reported that an operation was launched to capture the perpetrators of the incident, MSY and Ö.Y., and that the individuals were caught in the stream bed where they were hiding. It was also reported that as a result of the searches, (1) 7.65 mm. caliber pistol and (40) cartridges belonging to the pistol, which were thought to have been used in the incident, were captured.

It was stated that a judicial investigation was initiated upon the instructions of the Public Prosecutor and that the detained persons would be referred to judicial authorities after their procedures were completed.
