Meteorology General Directorate (MGM) Weather Forecast Expert Serdar Yıldırım warned citizens about the extreme heat expected in Muğla and its surroundings. Yıldırım stated that temperatures in Muğla are around 38 degrees and with the increase in humidity, they can sometimes reach 40 degrees. He emphasized that this situation increases the risk of heat stroke and stated that citizens should be careful.
In his statement, Yıldırım also gave information about the weather conditions across the country. He stated that temperatures above seasonal norms will decrease by 3-5 degrees starting tomorrow, except for the Southern Aegean coasts, the Mediterranean and the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Stating that there is no rain expectation in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir, Yıldırım stated that the air temperature in Istanbul will be around 29 degrees and in Izmir it will be around 33 degrees.
The important points are:
- No precipitation is expected in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir.
- There is no rainfall expectation in Muğla, Antalya, Mersin and Adana regions.
- Short-term rain is expected tomorrow in the areas of Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, Isparta, Eskişehir and Bilecik.
In general, it is estimated that temperatures will remain around seasonal norms until the end of the week. It is important for citizens to be careful about sunlight and take the necessary precautions.
