Gendarmerie Commander First Lieutenant Aydın Samet Ekşi, who served in Kalkandere district of Rize, was arrested for allegedly killing his wife Aylin Ekşi, to whom he had been married for two months. The incident took place recently at the Gendarmerie Command Lodgings in the district.
Although First Lieutenant Aydın Samet Ekşi claimed that his wife Aylin Ekşi (40) committed suicide at home, he was detained upon suspicion. As a result of the investigation, Aydın Samet Ekşi was arrested and sent to prison on suspicion of killing his wife.
Aylin Ekşi was buried in Artvin
Aylin Ekşi’s body was sent to her hometown Artvin and buried. After the funeral prayer performed at the Erenler village mosque in Borcka district, Aylin Ekşi was buried in the family cemetery and sent off with prayers by her loved ones.
It was shared that the couple met in Yalova and got married on April 22, 2024, and that it was Lieutenant Aydın Samet Ekşi’s second marriage.
