A garbage house in Eskişehir was cleaned by a court order despite the resistance of its owner. Odunpazarı Municipality Police, Cleaning Affairs and Rural Services Directorate teams cleaned and disinfected the garbage house.
The teams took action upon the complaint and acted upon the decision of the District General Hygiene Board and Eskişehir 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace to clean the flat belonging to BK, which was a garbage house, located in the Büyükdere neighbourhood. However, the owner, BK, insisted on not opening the door.
As a result of the efforts of the teams, the apartment was entered with the help of a locksmith under the supervision of the police, and work was started to remove the solid waste that had been accumulating for a long time. The disinfection process was also carried out by the Rural Services Directorate pesticide team.
Odunpazarı Municipality officials stated that they will not allow such garbage houses and that they will clean them and make them livable. It was emphasized that citizens should report similar situations with a petition.
Garbage House Cleaning and Disinfection Process Completed
After the cleaning, rehabilitation and disinfection processes carried out in the garbage house, the teams went to BK’s workplace and handed over his new key. In this way, access was regained to the owner of the garbage house and the cleaning process was completed successfully.
Odunpazarı Municipality aims to protect the environment and create livable areas by adopting a zero tolerance policy towards garbage houses. Garbage house problems are being solved with the environmentally conscious behavior of citizens and the support of the municipality.
