Edremit Municipality continues to remove illegal structures that do not have zoning permits and that pose a threat to public safety. The unauthorized structure in Faruk Serpil Park in the district center was demolished by municipal teams in the early hours of the morning. Edremit Mayor Mehmet Ertaş made statements on the subject.
Ertaş:“As a municipality, we protect the aesthetics and security of our city by inspecting all kinds of structures that are against the law. The peace and security of our citizens is our priority. Illegal construction will not be allowed and necessary precautions will be taken.”
Ertaş stated that the work was carried out with the aim of informing citizens and ensuring city order. He also emphasized that citizens would be supported in zoning and license issues in Edremit.
