We need to inform the public about the fire that occurred between Diyarbakır and Mardin provinces and unfortunately killed 12 of our citizens. The fire, which started in Köksalan District of Çınar district, broke out at Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. It saddened us deeply.
As a company, our teams are working meticulously in the field to investigate every possibility regarding the cause of the fire. As a result of the investigations, we would like to clearly state that the fire was not caused by our electrical distribution lines.
Unfortunately, we observe manipulative statements made by some communication organs and circles in the region. Such statements not only negatively affect our improvement efforts in the region, but also put our employees in a difficult situation. For this reason, we would like to state that we will use our legal rights against unfounded claims.
May God have mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the fire, we offer our condolences to their relatives and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We believe that we, as a society, should be more careful and in solidarity, hoping that such painful events never happen again.
