The forest fire that broke out in the rural area in İzmir’s Çeşme district last night was taken under control with rapid intervention. Cooling efforts carried out by Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry teams continue.
The fire started in a non-forest rural area in Ildır District and the cause has not been determined yet. Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry teams responded to the fire with 11 sprinklers, 2 water supply vehicles, 1 dozer and an additional helicopter in the morning.
As a result of the coordinated work of the teams, the fire was taken under control in the morning, and cooling efforts continue. Teams that provide rapid and effective response to forest fires continue to work day and night to protect natural life.
