The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that two journalists were injured as a result of fire opened by the occupying Israeli soldiers. According to the statement, one journalist was injured in the hand with a live bullet, while the other was hit by shrapnel. The injured journalists were taken to the hospital by Red Crescent medical teams.
In another statement from the Red Crescent, it was stated that medical teams in the same region transferred two more journalists injured by Israeli fire to the hospital. Cerrah Halef, one of the attacking journalists, stated in his statement to the Anadolu Agency (AA) correspondent that the occupying Israeli soldiers opened direct fire on them while they were covering the raid on a blocked house in the Kefr Dan town.
Successor emphasized that their vehicles have a “press” sign in English and said, “We were near the Kefr Dan cemetery, we were driving with 3 vehicles in the direction of the journalists and ambulances. There were press signs hanging in the vehicles. It was obvious that we were journalists, but suddenly the soldiers started opening fire on us “They opened fire on us many times, and journalist Muhammed Mansur was injured in his hand. We walked away from there.”he said
On the other hand, occupying Israeli soldiers opened fire on journalists during the follow-up of a similar incident in the city of Jenin and drove a bulldozer into them, which caused destruction on the road. Such attacks are recorded as a serious situation that threatens the safety of journalists and hinders freedom of expression.
