A Fire broke out in Bilecik: Fields and Forested Areas were Damaged in Soğcakpınar Village
The fire that occurred in Soğcakpınar village of Bilecik’s Osmaneli district destroyed approximately 20 decares of wheat field and a small forest area. When the fire that broke out in the Köse Dere area could not be taken under control with the intervention of the villagers, the fire brigade was notified.
Bilecik, Osmaneli and Gölpazarı Forest Management teams, 5 water sprinklers, 1 first response vehicle, 1 helicopter, 3 water tankers, 60 fire crews, Gendarmerie, foresters and volunteer citizens participated in the fire extinguishing efforts.
As a result of the intensive efforts of the teams at the scene, the fire is being brought under control. Detailed investigations into the cause of the fire and its environmental effects are continuing.
